Eldar Nebolsin is considered one of the most highly regarded pianists and teachers of nowadays.

Since 2013, he has been a Piano Professor at the “Hanns Eisler” School of Music in Berlin. His students have won numerous awards at major competitions, such as Santander, Montreal, Geneva, and the Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

A disciple of the renowned Russian pianist and professor Dmitri Bashrikov, Eldar Nebolsin currently records for Naxos. Previously, he recorded two albums for Decca: a first solo album with works by Chopin and Liszt, and a second with Chopin Piano Concertos Accompanied by the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy.

In 1992, only 17 years old, he won the Grand Prize and Golden Medal of the XI International Piano Competition Santander Paloma O’Shea. Afterwards, in 2005, Eldar Nebolsin was unanimously awarded with the 1st Prize, on the 1st edition of the Sviatoslav Richter International Piano Competition, in Moscow.

On the chamber music field, Eldar Nebolsin works with some of the most renowned musicians, such as Janine Jansen, Julian Rachlin, Maxim Rysanov, Alexey Ogrintchouk, Ilya Gringolts, and Gustav Rivinius. Recent concerts include partnerships with the Leipzig String Quartet, Barnabás Kelemen, Miklos Perenyi, Alexander Melnikov, and Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt.

He has played as a soloist with several of the most famous world orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Symphony Orchestras of Chicago, and Sidney, the Metropolitan Orchestra of Toquio, the Santa Cecilia Orchestra, in Rome, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, the St. Petersburg, and the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestras, and the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester, conducted by maestros such as Mstislav Rostropovich, Riccardo Chailly, Yuri Temirkanov, Leonard Slatkin, Charles Dutoit, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vasily Petrenko, Nikolaj Alexeev, Vladimir Spivakov, and Lawrence Foster, among many others.
