Founded in 2015, the Festival & Academy VERÃO CLÁSSICO annually presents in Lisbon a program of concerts and masterclasses of international excellence, with the participation of hundreds of musicians from around the world.

VERÃO CLÁSSICO has been held in various prestigious venues in the Portuguese capital, including the Belém Cultural Center, Thalia Theater, National Coach Museum, National Conservatory, and Fronteira Palace, among others. It features renowned international soloists - such as Gary Hoffman, Mihaela Martin, Imogen Cooper, Benjamin Schmid, Eldar Nebolsin, Anna Samuil, and Radek Baborák - as well as musicians from the world’s leading orchestras - including the Berlin Philharmonic, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Munich, and Paris Orchestra - and professors from the most prestigious international institutions - including conservatories and universities in Berlin, Paris, London, Vienna, Oslo, Madrid, Moscow, Boston, Geneva, Salzburg, Brussels, Lausanne, Cologne, Zurich, Munich, Amsterdam, and others

Over the past decade, more than 1,500 young musicians from over 50 countries across 5 continents have been selected to participate in the masterclasses of the Festival & Academy VERÃO CLÁSSICO. Since the first edition, the VERÃO CLÁSSICO Prizes have been awarded to the best young musicians participating in the Academy. These prizes, in the form of concert opportunities in festivals and music seasons in Portugal, play a significant role in encouraging and recognizing the talent and effort demonstrated by participants during the Festival & Academy VERÃO CLÁSSICO.
